Plan the day ashore
Choose the length of the call and the fleet. The planner lays out the whole day — every excursion offered, every coach at work — and shows what an hour more or less would change.

The day ashore
What the ship can sell, and when
Every excursion with its departures on one line. Untick one to take it out, and the fleet is laid out again without it.

Shuttles
Each line is one excursion; stacked bars run at the same time on different vehicles. Shuttle bars are one coach going round and round. Nobody leaves before 30 minutes after arrival, and everyone is aboard 30 minutes before departure.

The port's fleet
Partners — on the water and on foot
Each row is one vehicle or one partner's departures. A coach waits 20 minutes between two tours; shuttle rounds on the same coach run back to back.
An hour more, an hour less
Six call lengths, side by side
The same fleet over seven to twelve hours alongside. Below nine hours, the two eight-hour tours cannot run; from eleven, Mountains & Fjords makes two runs.
The port's fleet: 10 coaches · 3 mountain coaches · M/S Holly on charter
How the plan is made
Three rules, in this order
- Every excursion is offered. Each tour that fits the time ashore gets one departure before any tour gets a second. What does not fit is listed with the reason.
- Then, round and round. A second departure for every tour, then a third — up to what each venue takes: two coaches at Klimapark, a hundred seats at Krossbu and at Breheimsenteret. In a balanced programme no full-day tour gets more than three coaches; for the most guests, the shuttles run at full strength first.
- No coach stands idle. Every gap long enough for a round goes to the shuttles — Best of Skjolden, Oscarshaug, Berdalsnosi and the Urnes shuttle — spread evenly between them. The packing is tried in many orders, and the one that keeps most seats moving wins.
The fleet, the venues and what is still an assumption
- The port's fleet. Ten King Long coaches at 45 seats, three Temsa mountain coaches (39, 34 and 34 seats) and the catamaran M/S Holly (73).
- Full mobilisation. Twenty coaches of the King Long class — the port's ten and ten from partner operators — with the same three mountain coaches and the catamaran.
- Mountains & Fjords ties up M/S Holly and the two larger mountain coaches (39 + 34) for five hours a run. The third mountain coach takes Urnes — the road there admits nothing over 12 metres.
- The pier has 13 coach bays; at most 13 departures load in the same quarter of an hour.
- Guides: one on every coach and on M/S Holly, and on the Sengjaberget walk and the e-bike tour. Partners guide their own tours. The high-season pool is 24.
- Stygge Glacier by e-bike — assumption. The afternoon group takes over the bikes at the mountain office as the morning group comes down, so two departures need nine hours ashore, not ten.
- Urnes Stave Church & Ornes — assumption. Visits start at ten past and twenty to each hour, 10:30–17:45, from 2 May to 30 September. The tour reaches the church an hour after leaving the pier, so its departure is timed to a visit; outside the season the church is open only by arrangement.
- RIB Adventure — assumption. Three boats, with fifteen minutes between trips.
- Walking with Llamas — assumption. Planned as one walk a call.
- Cider Tasting — assumption. Two tastings a call.
- Jotunheimen — Oscarshaug — assumption. Planned on the product's own two hours for a round to Oscarshaug and back.
- Urnes Stave Church Shuttle — assumption. Twenty minutes inside the church a visit is an estimate; the drive is known.
