Port Overview

Skjolden Cruise Port nestles at the end of the 205 km Sognefjord, your gateway to Jotunheimen's peaks, Jostedalsbreen's ice, and UNESCO Urnes Stave Church. Emerald fjords meet wild valleys and snow-capped mountains full of Viking spirit.

  • Facilities: 127.5 m quay (12 m depth, 3 m height), Total bollard strength 1000 tonnes (75-200t.); tender pier (36 m length, 4m depth); shuttle to village (1.2 km); nearby cafés/shops like a souvenir shop and a cafe at the pier, and the Warf House (900 m) and Fjordstova (1,3 km) in the local village.

  • Capacities: Up to 2 ships/day; 5500 pax total (lower beds).

2. The last viking

  • Description: Meet the world famous Ken Stornes — “The Last Viking”—and his crew for a family-friendly Viking Bootcamp just ~250 m from the pier. Train like a fjord warrior: Viking ship rowing (demo/participation), axe-throwing (supervised), archery (supervised), saga storytelling, and a horn-blown welcome. On completion, Ken certifies each participant as a Viking and hands over a diploma—a perfect selfie with The Last Viking.
